Purpose of your role

The post holder will be required to consistently provide on a pre-planned, ad-hoc, breakdown and reactive basis, a professional and effective maintenance, service and repair function to the following system types as determined by the Deputy Contracts Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

  • To undertake cyclic planned preventative maintenance and service works on a hands-on basis to satisfy those requirements as set out in the company’s test, inspection, maintenance and service asset management plan and appropriately record.

                       

  • To co-ordinate and have undertaken by approved term maintenance specialist works providers, cyclic maintenance and service works on a contract appointment basis to satisfy those requirements as set out in the company’s test, inspection, maintenance and service asset management plan, ensuring that records are populated and on asset condition and works detail.

 

  • To undertake cyclic technical checks and record as set out in the company’s computer aided quality management system.

 

  • Swimming Pool Water Systems - Monitoring Of Swimming Pool Water Quality And Minor Adjustment Of Water Treatment System Equipment, Inspection And Report Of Condition Type Works Only.

 

  • To undertake reactive maintenance, service and repair works on a hands-on basis to satisfy those requirements of the contract specification.

 

  • To assist and support the site based Management Team in respect to any reasonable technical request.

 

  • To manage the Facilities Monitoring System (FMS) defect reporting system in accordance with agreed procedures

 

  • To be part of the ‘On-Call’ emergency response team on rotational basis

 

  • To respond appropriately to all maintenance issues in accordance with the agreed priority rating system and with minimum disruption to facilities.

 

  • To advise the Deputy Contracts Manager in respect of relevant health and safety environmental issues

 

  • To assist and support both the company’s, Head of Technical, Technical Director and Executive Board Directors in respect to any reasonable technical request.

Essential skills

The post holder shall be able to demonstrate a level of experience and knowledge commensurate with the post and which sets out that they possess a minimum experience in plant maintenance and operations in the building and leisure services sector.

Managed by Serco, Meden Leisure Centre is currently recruiting a part-time Leisure Assistant. Meden Leisure Centre offers everything you need for a great family visit. The leisure pool is packed with water rides to keep both adults and children entertained, whilst the competition pool and fitness suite provide for those seeking a more active visit.

We are currently looking to recruit a part time Lifeguard (Leisure Assistant) to work at Meden Leisure Centre. The role of the Lifeguard is to work within the centre ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care at all times. The role will involve supervision of specific activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and the safe handling and set up of equipment.

Main Responsibilities

- Provide supervision of swimming pools to ensure customer safety by preventing accidents and incidents and taking appropriate action in those events
- Ensure equipment is set up in order to meet the needs of the programmed activities
- Provide supervision of dry-side activities to ensure customer safety
- Undertake cleaning tasks and monitor standards of cleanliness

Oak Tree Leisure Centre is a modern leisure facility that breathes quality being built in 2006. Purpose of your role

We are currently recruiting for a part time Swimming Teacher (17 hours per week) to be responsible for the safety and skill advancement of the pupils within their care.

Duties and responsibilities

To instruct individuals or groups in the art of swimming or other associated aquatic activities.
- To provide schemes of work and lesson plans relevant to the instruction being undertaken.
- To ensure the safe use and storage of any equipment required during a lesson.
- To record information relevant to each lesson content and any other associated information
- To provide instruction in line with the current Swim Life Learn to Swim scheme.
- To attend badge assessment sessions as required.
- To promote and support the Serco Swim Life Scheme.

Essential skills

The ideal candidates will hold a professional swimming qualification equivalent to the Amateur Swimming Association Level 2 and hold a relevant lifesaving award equivalent to the National Pool Lifeguard and a Rookie Life Saving qualification.

- Extensive and up to date knowledge of current swim teaching practices
- Good planning skills
- A good communicator
- Customer care skills
- Team Player
- Knowledge of current safety requirements for management of swimming lessons

To prepare agendas, take the minutes of the meetings and distribute them to trustees in association with the Trust's Chairman.  The salary for the attendance, preparation and distribution of minutes etc, will be £12.00 per hour.

Trust Board Members (voluntary)

The Mansfield District Leisure Trust is seeking new trustees to lead and develop the Trust's work in partnership with Mansfield District Council in the promotion of healthy lifestyles and the provision and management of the Council's leisure facilities.

New trustees will have a passion for sport and recreation and ideally experience in management and leadership roles.  A commercial and financial background are of particular interest with strengths in marketing, strategy planning , technology or education being of relevance also.

The Trust meets between 8 to 10 times per year with its partners Mansfield District Council and  SERCO the managing agents.  Meetings take place on midweek afternoons in the Council's leisure outlets.
