CLEANER –FIXED TERM

Purpose of your role
The Cleaners role is to ensure that cleaning tasks are undertaken to the required standard in a safe manner throughout the facility.
Duties and responsibilities
Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building at all times.
Provide a safe working environment whilst dealing with chemicals, ensuring that they are handled in accordance with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Assessments.
Ensure that cleaning tasks are carried out safely with due consideration to the public, visitors and other staff. This includes utilising signage and ensuring equipment is stored safely.
Ensure all cleaning schedules are followed and checklists are completed.
Report problems relating to cleaning and areas not cleaned.
Maintain stock levels and advise the line manager when stocks are in need of replenishment.
Ensure that equipment is inspected prior to use and is used safely.
Ensure that personal protective equipment provided is used and kept in good condition.
Ensure all cleaning equipment is cleaned and returned to a secure store on completion of cleaning tasks.
Consistently and actively apply good housekeeping principles, such as turning off lights and equipment when not in use, in order to contribute to our strategy to reduce utility consumption and carbon footprint. Undertake any other duties as required as directed by your Line Manager
Good communication skills, Health & safety awareness, Customer care awareness, Attention to detail
Qualification LevelThe Cleaner will be a responsible individual, ideally with a good work record in a similar environment. The Cleaner will be literate and relevant work experience. An NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning is desirable.Experience LevelThe Cleaner will have similar work experience or be able to demonstrate capability in this area.
Rota/Hours Tues and Thurs 6.00am to 9.15am Sats 7.00am to 10.30am -9 month fixed term

REBECCA ADLINGTON SWIMMING CENTRE
We are currently recruiting al Receptionist based at Rebecca Adlington Swimming Centre to work as and when the business requires. In the role of Receptionist you will be the front line customer service for the public entering the Rebecca Adlington Centre providing an excellent customer experience through outstanding communication skills, in person, over the telephone, and dealing with enquiries. Previous experience in a customer facing role in a busy environment is key to the role of Receptionist, and there will be training offered for customer care and disability awareness.
Greet and book-in customers on a computerised booking system to the Leisure Centre- Undertake a quarterly stock take and report to Front of House and Sales Manager- Deal with cash transactions- Ensure relevant information is continuously available to customers- Deal with first line customer enquires or complaints- Interact with customers via the customer desk and telephone, including taking customer bookings- To process Ultimate Leisure card, bonus card, direct debit applications and complete direct debit mandates for our appointed collection agency- Ensure that the Health and Safety at Work Act is adhered to with particular reference to the duty of care provision to both the general public and colleagues alike
Key skills, Experience and Qualifications:- Demonstrable previous experience of dealing face to face with customers in a busy environment- Maths and English GCSE level C or equivalent- Excellent communication and customer care skills- Basic cash handling ability- IT ability, with computerised booking system exposure being advantageous- The ability to remain mature and calm under pressure- An organised, team player, with high levels of interpersonal skills
Interviews will take place week commencing 10th April 2017
3 week rolling rota including evenings, weekends and BH’s
