Purpose of your role

The Cafe Assistant`s role is to work within the catering team to achieve high standards of service and customer care at all times. The role will also ensure food is hygienically prepared and served in accordance with standards laid down by the Cafe Supervisor.

Duties and responsibilities

- Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout.

 - Undertake and record temperature checks and ensure high standards of food hygiene are maintained.

 - Ensure customers are served promptly and efficiently.

 - Ensure financial and cash handling procedures are complied with.

 - Prepare food and beverages as necessary in accordance with cafe menus.

 - Replenish stocks within the cafe and vending machines.

 - Ensure the Company Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and all relevant Food Safety Legislation and smoke free law is complied with.

Essential/Desirable skills

-Hold a Certificate in Food Hygiene or a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering, Intermediate   Certificate in Food Safety or equivalents are essential.

 - Hold a BIIAB National Certificate in Licensed Retailing Operations and a CIEH or RIPH Foundation or equivalent is desirable.

 - Hold an NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning, or equivalent is desirable.

 - Proven experience of working in a similar role/environment is desirable.

 - Health & Safety/COSHH awareness/knowledge.

 - Good communication and customer care skills.

 - To be able to work as part of a team and be flexible in your approach to the demanding needs of this service.

Rota/Hours Hrs of operation between 9.00am-6.30pm open 7 days per week.

Includes evening and weekends on a rota. We will look to accommodate an individual’s needs for the right colleague

Purpose of your role

The Cleaners role is to ensure that cleaning tasks are undertaken to the required standard in a safe manner throughout the facility.

Duties and responsibilities

Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the building at all times.

Provide a safe working environment whilst dealing with chemicals, ensuring that they are handled in accordance with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Assessments.

Ensure that cleaning tasks are carried out safely with due consideration to the public, visitors and other staff. This includes utilising signage and ensuring equipment is stored safely.

Ensure all cleaning schedules are followed and checklists are completed.

Report problems relating to cleaning and areas not cleaned.

Maintain stock levels and advise the line manager when stocks are in need of replenishment.

Ensure that equipment is inspected prior to use and is used safely.

Ensure that personal protective equipment provided is used and kept in good condition.

Ensure all cleaning equipment is cleaned and returned to a secure store on completion of cleaning tasks.

Consistently and actively apply good housekeeping principles, such as turning off lights and equipment when not in use, in order to contribute to our strategy to reduce utility consumption and carbon footprint.

Undertake any other duties as required as directed by your Line Manager

Qualification Level
The Cleaner will be a responsible individual, ideally with a good work record in a similar environment. The Cleaner will be literate and relevant work experience. An NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning is desirable.

Minute Taker for the Trust Board

To prepare agendas, take the minutes of the meetings and distribute them to trustees in association with the Trust's Chairman.  The salary for the attendance, preparation and distribution of minutes etc, will be £12.00 per hour.

Trust Board Members (voluntary)

The Mansfield District Leisure Trust is seeking new trustees to lead and develop the Trust's work in partnership with Mansfield District Council in the promotion of healthy lifestyles and the provision and management of the Council's leisure facilities.

New trustees will have a passion for sport and recreation and ideally experience in management and leadership roles.  A commercial and financial background are of particular interest with strengths in marketing, strategy planning , technology or education being of relevance also.

The Trust meets between 8 to 10 times per year with its partners Mansfield District Council and  SERCO the managing agents.  Meetings take place on midweek afternoons in the Council's leisure outlets.

Community Sports Activator – Full or Part-time

 

Fixed term contract until Dec 2018

Mansfield District Leisure Trust –  based from Oaktree LC, Meden Sports Centre, or Water Meadows Complex - Mansfield areas.

This is a unique and rewarding role responsible for delivering sports and physical activity related projects and programmes which promote and increase participation in sport and physical activity, focusing on inactive people and priority groups.

You will;

·         Assist in the Sport England Funded Community Sports Programme in Mansfield (we are supposed to advertise that fact that they are funding it!)

·         Deliver sports and physical activity sessions to all sections of the community, both in the Leisure Centres and in parks and community venues

·         To attend events throughout the year to represent Mansfield District Leisure Trust and promote sports activity message to a range of audiences

·         Monitor participation figures for all projects

·         To work in partnership with Reach Learning Disability to run sports sessions for adults with learning disabilities

We are looking for individuals that can support and communicate at all levels especially at beginner levels as you will be assisting participants that have little or no exercise regime.

Ideally you will have;

·         Physical Activity qualification level 2

·         Any relevant sport, coaching (Level 2), tennis and/or football coaching would be an advantage

·         Own car essential as you must be able to travel around the Mansfield area

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Experience of working either formally or informally with groups or individuals

·         Experience of setting up activity opportunities within the community.

·         Coaching Experience – range of sports and physical activity

·         Experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities (desirable)

Duties and responsibilities

Provide supervision of swimming pools to ensure customer safety at all times by preventing
accidents and incidents and by taking the appropriate action in the event of these occurring.
Undertake cleaning tasks as required to ensure the centre is well presented and monitor
standards of cleanliness in customer critical areas such as changing rooms and toilets.
Maintain high levels of customer service at all times. Attend training sessions in order to demonstrate competency and maintain a valid qualification.
