Is the centre suitable for access by disabled users?

Yes, each centre is accessible for disabled users.  Accessibility varies at each centre - please see the list below to understand the accessibility of the centres according to your needs.


Meden Sports Centre

Is there car parking available?

Yes, free car parking is available at Meden Sports Centre, Oak Tree Leisure Centre, Rebecca Adlington Swimming Centre and River Maun Recreation Centre. 
Please note that parking facilities at Water Meadows Swimming and Fitness complex are pay and display. There is a refund voucher attached to your car parking ticket which is refunded at reception when you visit the centre. Parking at Water Meadows is free before 8am and after 3pm.

Do I have to be a member to use the leisure facilities?

No, you do not need to be a member. Activities are available on a ‘pay as you go’ basis as well as value for money membership packages. To book for activities, such as workout classes, racquet sports and swimming lessons you simply need to become a Booking Member. This can be achieved by contacting reception via the telephone or during your visit to the leisure facility or simply online.

Are there lockers available?

Yes, there are lockers available. You will need £1 which is refundable.

Can I buy clothing and equipment at the leisure centre?

Yes, we provide a range of products at each centre. Whether they are goggles, swim costumes, fun inflatable for the swimming pool; accessories for racquet sports or water bottles, towels, kit bags for the fitness suite there is a range available for you to view on our online retail shop.

I have never been to a gym before.

Are the gym instructors qualified?

Yes, all gym instructors are qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in Fitness Instructing.

What clothing does my child need to wear for the holiday activity club?

It is recommended that your child wears clothing that is relevant to the activity they will be taking part in. For example tracksuit, trainers and t-shirt for multi-sports; swimming costume for swimming activities.

Do children need to bring anything with them to the holiday club?

Children are required to bring a packed lunch if they are staying for the whole day and not purchasing food from the centre and also any medication they require. Children will also be required to bring swimwear and a towel for swimming activities.
