Workout Classes

Workout classes are a really good way to help you lose weight, tone up or simply feel great. And working out in a group is proven to help people stay motivated and keep going. Where's your next endorphin rush coming from?

Workout classes take place across all our leisure centres and the classes offered at each centre vary.  Please view the workout timetable for details. All classes are available on a casual pay as you go option, or if you attend workout classes regularly you could benefit from a health and fitness membership.

 

Class Descriptions


Abs, Butts & Thighs

Body conditioning for those troublesome areas using
dumb-bells and resistance.

BODYBALANCETM

Combines the best of Eastern disciplines, like Yoga and Tai Chi with popular new methods such as pilates and feldenkrais, to create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

Body Fit

Weight training class set to music, using barbells and weights. It will tone and strengthen your entire body and increase your fat burning potential.

BODYPUMPTM

Weight training class set to music, using barbells and weights. It will tone and strengthen your entire body and increase your fat burning potential.

Box Fit

Boxing based circuits including bags, speed balls and pad work with added weights and cardio to really get your heart rate pumping.

Core

High Intensity Core Workout lasting 30 minutes, focusing on your abdominal, oblique’s and back muscles, a fantastic way to blast the abs giving you a firmer flatter stomach and increase your overall core strength.

HIIT

There’s a reason high-intensity interval training (HIIT) is one of the hottest fitness trends on the planet – it’s the fastest way to get fit, and in shape. Short, sharp bursts of effort allow you to reach maximum training zones and that’s the secret to performance.

HIIT - Cycling

A high intensity interval class and on the indoor cycling bikes working on sprints, attacks and hill climbs with short bursts of maximum effort followed by recovery periods."
