Rebecca Adlington Leisure Centre achieves ‘Excellent’ Quest rating
After completing a rigorous assessment programme, our centre has been awarded an ‘Excellent’ rating by Quest, the continuous improvement tool for the leisure industry supported by Sport England. The recognition highlights our commitment to delivering outstanding services, inclusive activities and sustainable operations for the local community.
What is Quest?
Quest is delivered by the leisure industry organisation Right Directions, which sends trained assessors to leisure facilities across the UK. During the assessment, centres are evaluated against a comprehensive set of criteria that measure operational performance and customer experience.
These criteria include areas such as equality and inclusion, customer service, health and safety, and energy management.
Key Strengths Identified
Quest assessors highlighted several standout achievements.
One of the most notable was our significant reduction in energy consumption, which has decreased by 22% year on year. This demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and efficient facility management.
Assessors also praised our wide range of inclusive activity sessions, ensuring that people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds can participate in health and fitness activities.
In addition, our friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming staff were recognised as a major strength, contributing to a positive and supportive experience for everyone who visits the centre.
A Proud Moment for Mansfield
Matt Hancock, our Contract Manager, said:
“This is the first time that any of our centres in Mansfield have achieved Quest - Excellent, a rating that signifies facilities offering only the highest standards of service. As Contract Manager, I could not be prouder!
“This rating would not have been possible without the support of our client, Mansfield District Council. Their continued commitment to the wellbeing needs of this community is an example to local authorities everywhere.
“Our other centres in Mansfield are currently rated Quest - Very Good, with their assessments due to take place later in the year. But for now, the Rebecca Adlington Leisure Centre team have set a very high benchmark, which can only spur on our colleagues at Warsop Health Hub, Oak Tree Leisure Centre and Water Meadows Fitness & Swimming Complex.”
