Pool Use Policy

- Children under the age of 4 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times: 4’s 1:1, 4-7years old 2:1.
- An OAP ticket is from the age of 60 years
- An adult is someone 16 years or older or the Parent of the Child
- Customers are not to use cameras, video cameras or any other image capture equipment
- No running
- No chewing of gum
- No pushing or pulling of other swimmers into the water
- No ducking of swimmers
- No bombing
- No diving in water of less than 1.5 metres all dives must be shallow from the edge of the pool.
- No petting
- No spitting (refer all incidents to the Duty Manager, who will explain to the customer why this is not tolerated and the customer will be asked to leave).
- No hand paddles
- No airbeds, some inflatable’s may be permitted this is at the discretion of the Duty Manager
- No face masks, flippers, snorkels
- No glass
- No outdoor shoes on pool side
- No play fighting or fighting, - it is important it is nipped in the bud before it causes injury to both parties and other customers
- No sitting on other swimmers shoulders
- All weak/non swimmers must be kept in shallow water at all times. If you are uncertain of the swimming ability of a customer, politely ask them to demonstrate their swimming ability in a safe area of the pool. All customers wanting to swim in the deep end of the pool must be able to swim 25metres in a competent manner. If you are unsure seek advice from the Duty Manager.
- No jumping from the steps
- No jumping in backwards
- No pushchairs to be taken on poolside
- No throwing of people or equipment
- When bands are issued customers must wear them at all times.
- All bathers must wear acceptable swimwear, swimming shorts or sports shorts to the knee, costumes, tight leggings and a leotard, full body suit
- No wetsuits, vests, three quarter trousers
- Tight fitting t-shirts/rash vests may be worn during This Girl can swimming sessions
- Swim wear must be worn at all times including the shower areas.
- Inflatable balls are permitted at the Lifeguards discretion.
- Children under the age of 8 years are allowed to share the changing rooms of adults of the opposite sex.
- No loaning of floats or other equipment from the facility.
- Overshoe covers must be worn around the site, these can be purchased at reception for 50p per pair.
