Welcome to the Climbing Zone at Water Meadows a fun and engaging space designed for climbers of all ages and abilities.
Whether you're building confidence, improving technique, or just looking for an active challenge, our climbing area offers an exciting experience in a safe and supportive environment. Perfect for beginners and experienced climbers alike, it’s a great place to test your skills, stay active, and have fun.
Climbing Zone
Prices from £7.50 per person
Suitable for ages 6+.
This is the easiest and safest way to try climbing, so bring the family down and test your skills across our 17 climbing modules.
The automatic belay devices take up the slack as you climb, and then gently lowers you down to the ground. No climbing experience is necessary; a full safety briefing is given, and our specially trained team are on hand to supervise at all times.
Enjoy 2.5 hours of free parking when visiting Water Meadows. Simply enter your vehicle registration into the tablet inside the centre on arrival. Please note, stays over 4 hours may incur charges.
Play Area
We also have a dedicated play area for younger children and toddlers to enjoy while parents or siblings take part in the Climbing Zone activities. Designed as a fun and welcoming space, it’s the perfect spot for little ones to play, explore, and stay entertained during your visit.
For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, children using the play area must be supervised by a parent or responsible adult at all times.
Café
After your climbing session, why not relax and refuel at The Olive Branch café, located upstairs within the centre. Serving a selection of hot and cold drinks, light bites, and freshly prepared food, it’s the perfect place to unwind while watching the action below or catching up with friends and family.

Celebrate your birthday with an action-packed climbing party at Water Meadows! Perfect for adventurous children aged 6 and over, our Climbing Parties include an hour of exciting fun across 17 unique climbing walls for up to 16 climbers.
Our experienced instructors provide a full safety briefing, and all climbing equipment is included, so everyone can focus on having fun, building confidence, and reaching new heights together.
